Description:

This is a ready-to-use material composed of modified bitumen, technological additives, filler, and a solvent. These mastics are produced with minimal organic solvent content.

These materials bond the foundation to a variety of materials, including bitumen-polymer materials, flexible shingle, etc. They are also used for gluing the TECHNONICOL extrusion-type expanded polystyrene slabs.

The materials have good adhesion properties both to thecoating and foundation materials, they dry very fast and are heat-resistant.

Areas of application:

The mastics are intended for gluing roll-fed roofing and waterproofing materials and flexible shingles, as well as for gluing heat-insulation extrusion-type and expanded polystyrene slabs.

  • The TECHNONICOL № 22 (Vishera) gluing mastic is bitumen modified by SBS polymer, which is laced with solvent and other technological additives. Roll-fed materials can be installed on this mastic without using an open flame. This way, the waterproofing material is saved when it is installed on the mastic, and it is unlikely to be burnt. Surface coverage of the mastic makes out 0.8–1.8 kg per 1 m2 depending on the type of foundation.
  • The TECHNONICOL № 23 (Fixer) flexible shingle gluing mastic is a multi-compound mass consisting of bitumen, butadiene-styrene termoplastic elastomer, filler, solvent, and technological additives. The mastic is to be used for partial or complete gluing of flexible shingle petals, fixing ridge strips or hood moulds, and other elements of a pitched roof where flexible tiles are attached.
  • The TECHNONICOL № 27 gluing mastic is produced on the basis of oil bitumen, which is a special composite of fillers and organic solvent. It is paste-like, which allows for it to be reliably secured to the TECHNONICOL heat-insulating extrusion-type polystyrene slabs on vertical surfaces (vertical walls of a foundation). The material is completely ready-to-use and easy to handle.

Application:

  • TECHNONICOL № 22 (Vishera) is distributed on the foundation through use of a toothed putty knife or special rake. Surface coverage of the mastic is 0.8 – 1.8 kg per 1 m2 depending on the type of foundation.
  • TECHNONICOL № 23 (Fixer) is to be applied on a prepared surface with a layer 0.5-1 mm thick by means of a putty knife. When it is applied on porous foundations, the surface must be prime-coated with a bitumen primer (e.g., TECHNONICOL № 01). The temperature range of application is -5 °С to +40 °С. At lower temperatures the mastic should be held at room temperature before application at least 24 hours.
  • TECHNONICOL № 27 is to be applied on an XPS slab as points or strips by using a putty knife or comb putty knife. The mastic should be applied to all corners and in the centre of a fixed slab. When applying strips, their width should not be less than 40 mm, and they should be applied in a number of at least four per square meter. When fastening the mastic in points, it is distributed using stains with a surface coverage of 50-80 g for each stain. The stains are distributed at regular intervals on 10 pieces per 1 m2.
