TECHNONICOL  has provided reliable waterproofing of the new building of Hilton Park Hotel in Tallin. The former outdated hotel building with 8 storeys and 121 rooms was originally constructed in 1969 and known as Kungla Hotel. It has now been replaced by an outstanding 13-storey hotel and entertainment complex, operated by Hilton Worldwide.

The new building consists of a 4-storey lower section topped with a 9-storey higher section. The lower part accommodates a hotel lobby, casino, conference centre, SPA and restaurant. The higher section features accomodation facilities. The three top floors are executive floors, where rooms have balconettes. The highest floor of the hotel accommodates an executive lounge.

Under the building an underground parking is provided. OEG’s new flagship casino covers an area of 1,600 m² on the ground floor of the complex. The hotel accommodates 202 rooms for guests, half of which have a view overlooking Politseipark. From the 5th floor upwards, the rooms will be overlooking the Old Town and the sea from the side facing Gonsiori Street.

The hotel’s restaurant is approximately 13 metres from street level, and it offers a beautiful view of the park. A SPA/health centre is located on the same floor as the restaurant. The SPA and the restaurant have an open-air terrace with a catering and lounge area that can be used in summertime. The conference centre is located on a separate floor and consists of multifunctional rooms of various sizes, which can be divided and joined together with the help of removable partitions, offering a conference service for a total of 720 people.

BIM model was used for planning the construction work.

The construction project required high quality materials to be used, which will reduce the cost of operating the building. For roof protection in this project waterproofing materials UNIFLEKS EKP 5.0 and UNIFLEKS EKP 4.0 produced by TECHNONICOL were applied.  All of the materials meet current requirements in construction: not only the reliability and ease of installation, but also eco-friendliness and reasonable economy.
